Who is actually here?
Do I really have to do a day pass first?
Yes, but it is FREE. A day here will tell you more than our website can convey, and it gives us a chance to meet each other.
What are you looking for in an application?
Who you are and what you are working on. We are looking for people who will be good neighbors to the people already here, and we are making sure the Mill actually fits how you work and connect. That is the whole standard, and most people meet it easily.
How long does it take to hear back?
Very quickly. Most applications are responded to within one business day.

Can I bring a guest?
Of course. Bring a client or a collaborator for a meeting in the common areas, and stay with them while they are here. If it is a bigger group or runs longer than an hour or two, your guest will need a guest pass, which is $35 a day and gives them full access while they are with you. Or you can book a meeting room, where guests are included, so your credits go even further.
What are booking credits, and what can I use them for?
Booking credits are a monthly dollar balance you can put toward meeting rooms and event space. They reset each month and do not roll over. Your membership discount applies on top, so credits go further than the face value suggests.
Can I book the event space as a member?
Yes. Members book the event space at a discount, from 10% for Community up to 20% for Resident, Reserved, and Studio. You can put your monthly booking credits toward it as well.

Is there parking?
There is on site parking, plus street parking around the building. We will walk you through it on your first day.
Can I receive mail and packages here?
A business mailbox comes with Reserved and Studio memberships and can be added to a Resident membership. It gives you a Braid Mill address for mail and packages. We hold what arrives for you to pick up, so plan to check it when you are in.
billing & changes
Can I change memberships later?
Yes, and people do. Move up whenever you like and we will prorate the difference. Moving down takes 30 days notice, the same as a pause or a cancellation. Dedicated desks and studios depend on what is open at the time, so let us know early if you are thinking about it.
How does cancelling work?
Memberships are month to month. Give us 30 days notice and your membership ends at the close of that window. No fee, no explanation needed, though we will probably ask how it went.
What if I pay annually and need to stop?
Annual memberships are paid in full at signup and are not refundable. If something changes, talk to us. We would rather find a way to make the rest of your year useful than have you walk away from it.
Can I pause my membership?
Community and Resident memberships can be paused once for up to 60 days in any 12 month period. If you pay annually, a pause extends your term by the same number of days, so you never lose time you paid for.
Reserved and Studio memberships cannot be paused, since your desk or studio stays yours while you are away and we cannot hold it for someone else. If you need a break from a Reserved membership, you can move down to Resident and move back up when a desk is open.
