you've got questions

we have the answers

We love hosting all kinds of gatherings —workshops, networking mixers, corporate off-sites, community events, fundraisers, private celebrations, and more. If you have something in mind that isn’t on that list, reach out anyway. If the space works for it, we’re in.
Every rental includes access to your booked space, tables and chairs for up to 100 guests, Wi-Fi, and on-site parking. If you’d prefer a different style of furniture, we can provide a quote through our preferred vendor — or you’re welcome to source your own. Additional items like high tops or AV support can also be added on.
Events must conclude by 11pm, with all hosts and vendors fully out of the space by midnight. If you need a little extra time, extensions can be requested at least 7 days before your event and are considered on a case-by-case basis — an additional charge may apply.
For full-day Great Hall hire, hosts and vendors can begin accessing the space from 8am. For The Den and Conference Room, your booking window covers setup and breakdown — factor that in when you reserve your time.
A 50% deposit is required to reserve your date, with the remaining balance due four weeks before your event.
Yes — all hosts are required to provide general liability insurance for the day of their event. If you don’t already have a policy in place, we’re happy to point you toward a resource. All vendors are also required to provide a Certificate of Insurance naming Braid Mill as additionally insured.
We understand that sometimes life has other plans. Because your date is held exclusively from the moment you book — and events often require significant planning well in advance — we aren’t able to accommodate cancellations. That said, we always try our best to work with our hosts and explore alternative solutions when something comes up. Since event insurance is already required for all bookings, we’d simply encourage you to choose a policy that includes cancellation coverage — that way you’re protected from the unexpected.
Yes — caterers, DJs, decorators, and other vendors are all welcome. All vendors must provide a Certificate of Insurance naming Braid Mill as additionally insured.
Yes. We have a preferred caterer we love working with, but you’re welcome to bring your own. We have an on-site kitchen space for prep — just note there’s no cooking equipment on site, so your team will need to bring their own.
Hosts are welcome to bring their own alcohol, but all service must be handled by a RAMP-certified and insured bartender. For ticketed events where alcohol will be served or in cases where alcohol will be sold, hosts must obtain a Special Occasion Permit from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board prior to the event.
Yes — we have limited on-site parking. All parking is first-come, first-served. We always suggest that event attendees utilize public transportation or ride share services whenever possible.
Absolutely — we want your event to look incredible. We just ask that you avoid anything that could damage the space: no nails, staples, screws into walls, or hanging from the beams without prior written approval. Open flame candles are not permitted, but enclosed candles — like pillar candles in hurricane vases or fully enclosed votives — are welcome. Confetti and glitter are also not allowed. All décor must be removed by the end of your rental.
We’ve never received a noise complaint and we’d love to keep it that way. Sound must be contained within the space as much as possible — we take pride in being good neighbors, and hosts are responsible for any violations that occur during their event.
Fill out our event inquiry form to kick things off and a member of our team will be in touch with you asap!
