works once again

The machines are gone, but the work goes on. Learn how a Germantown textile mill continues to serve the community.

A historic mill that works once again

A historic textile factory
reimagined

Built over a century ago as a working textile factory, the building witnessed generations of Philadelphians showing up, putting in the work, and building something together.

Today, it stands as a reminder of that same spirit. The walls carry the history, but it’s the people who bring the place back to life.

What was once a place for production has been restored as a place for progress

The exposed brick, original timber beams, and towering windows remain not as mere design choices, but as reminders of what this place has always been: A place where people come to do the work together.

our founders story

A Message from the Founders

As brothers, we’ve been building together for as long as we can remember. From forts in our family’s living room to a 40,000-square-foot former textile mill in Germantown.

Over the years, we’ve celebrated wins, faced setbacks, and most importantly, learned along the way. We’ve seen how small breakthroughs can lead to something much bigger, and how persistence and determination can carry you further than you ever expected.

As fourth-generation Philadelphia entrepreneurs, we come from a family that has always brought people together through business, shared spaces, and a sense of home. For more than a century, this building has done much the same, bringing people together to work, create, and make things.

Braid Mill brings those two stories together. It is our way of carrying that legacy forward while creating space for others to build stories of their own.

We often tell each other, “We’re getting there.” The truth is, we’re not entirely sure where “there” is. But that is just part of the journey.

The possibilities here are endless. The people keep us going. We just want to keep building. Only now, our crew keeps getting bigger.

Let's build something together.
